FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
You puchase a license code which enables PCDB for a specified length of time. Licenses are sold in monthly, semi-annual, yearly, or multi-year increments. Upon payment of the license fee, you receive a registration code which you enter into the program, along with the date of expiration. This enables all program features for the time specified.
With this kind of licensing, you can start using PCDB right away with very little cost. Rather than spending hundreds of dollars to see if the program is going to work for you, you can start with just a month or two. Then you can purchase a longer-term license later if you want.
Upon expiration of the license, PCDB reverts to evaluation mode. In evaluation mode, the number of customer records and entries you can post is limited. So you would likely be unable to add any new customers or post any new entries to customer records. However, your existing customer records and entries remain intact and accessible. If you later purchase a new license, the program resume normal functionality.
Sort of. You can purchase a license code that is good for the next 50 years. In computer terms, 50 years is virtually forever. Please contact us for details if you are interested in this.
PCDB is designed to run a Pest Control business, including Pest Control routes, Termite treatment and renewal scheduling, over-the-counter product sales, and accounts receivable and billing. Included with PCDB is the ability to generate treatment graphs as needed.

EZ-Graph Database is a much simplified utility that provides just the basic graphing capabilities without the rest of the package.
No. PCDB is a custom-designed application that isn't based on (and doesn't require) another program. It's entirely stand-alone.
Any printer that works with Windows will work with PCDB or EZ-Graph Database.
Yes, the program is fully network ready. In fact, the license allows any number of networked users to work with the same copy of the program at no additional charge.
No. PCDB prints on plain paper. No preprinted forms are needed.

For some things (such as pest control work orders and service tickets), using paper that has been perforated across the middle of the page makes it easier to detach and leave a copy with customers (if desired). Perforated paper can be puchased from a number of sources, including us. Please contact us if you would like to purchase from us for $19.95 per 500-sheet ream. Price includes shipping.

Additionally, some users like to print certain forms on NCR (no carbon required) paper so that a duplicate is automatically created as the form is filled out and signed. This can also be purchased from a number of sources, including us. Please contact us if you would like to purchase from us for $49.95 per 500-sheet dual-ream (contains 500 top sheets and 500 bottom sheets, enough for 500 full duplicate forms). Price includes shipping.

LOGO2.WMF

To use a logo, it must be renamed as LOGO.WMF and located in the same folder with the PCDB program files. Logos should be in Windows Metafile format, and be sized to look good at around 1" square. If you have a logo that you would like to have set up for use with PCDB, we offer this service for $75.
We also offer a package deal of one company logo and two signatures for $120.
FREE lifetime support via email is available to all licensed users. Telephone support is free for the first 30 days following the initial registration. After that there may be a charge for telephone support. Onsite support and training may also be available for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.
Pretty much any computer running Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, or XP. Any printer that works with Windows. The latest and greatest high-end hardware is NOT required. Even an older model 'clunker' works very well with the program.
Both PCDB and EZ-Graph will run on nearly any computer running Windows 95 or later, so running the program on a laptop is no problem. However, if you keep the main PCDB program on your office computer and take another copy out on a laptop, any changes posted on the laptop will not be carried over to the main computer since you would be working with a copy rather than the actual database.

If you are using EZ-Graph Database, it's possible to create and edit graphs on one computer and then export this information to a file to be imported by another computer. Currently this isn't possible with PCDB, but it's something we're working on.
